Job Description:

Atlanta Technical College (ATC) is seeking highly qualified applicants for their Asset Management Accountant position, in the Administrative Services Division. This position is located on Atlanta Tech’s main campus, just South of Downtown Atlanta.

Under general supervision, the Asset Management Accountant maintains records of all assets and inventory in the Asset module of PeopleSoft Financials. The Asset Management Accountant prepares and maintains accurate accounting records for assets and maintains accurate records for capital/ non-capital asset notes and TCSG on-behalf for year-end financial statements. This position accurately verifies receipt of property and ensures state identification numbers/decals are applied to property. Supervises the property record management system according to established guidelines. Performs inventory of property; and ensures property is transferred or disposed properly. Obtains the proper signatures when assets are transferred or disposed. Ensures safety and security requirements are met in the storage areas. Generates and submits monthly budget reports to departments and divisions. Responsible for submitting all supplier setup and maintenance requests to the State Accounting Office. Responsible for reviewing and processing travel through Concur and performing monthly travel reconciliations. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must possess and demonstrate a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting OR possess and demonstrate an Associate’s degree in Accounting and two (2) years of professional accounting experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Must possess and demonstrate a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting and three (3) or more years of professional accounting experience and two (2) or more years of experience managing assets and inventory.
