Responsibilities

Fidelis has an opportunity for a new senior team member to join our Finance team. Our rapid growth has increased the need to scale our finance organization. The Assistant Controller reporting to the VP-Corporate Controller, is a key contributor to the corporate finance strategy for the Fidelis organization. The ideal candidate needs to be a team player who possesses the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, exciting environment.

Primary Responsibilities

The successful candidate, managing a finance team, will have the following responsibilities:

  • Manage and mentor a growing finance team focused on the order to cash and procure to pay cycles as well as general accounting close (i.e. journal entries and reconciliations).
  • Oversee and participate in the monthly close process.
  • Drive the optimization and utilization of Salesforce and NetSuite for streamlined accounting processes.
  • Assist in various planned process improvements including sales tax assessment, improve NetSuite roles and approval workflows, improve intercompany and foreign currency reconciliations, create a standard JE and recon templates, and more.
  • Assess current processes and proactively recommend process improvements and participate in planned system implementations.
  • Support the annual audit and income tax return process with external firm.
  • Assist Corporate Controller and CFO with various finance and accounting projects as needed.

Qualifications

The right candidate for this opportunity is you:

  • Possess a Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA required
  • 8 – 12 years of increasing responsibilities. Experience must include managing areas of accounting operations including general ledger, billing/accounts receivable and direct supervision of others.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, manage a team and drive process improvement. Well-developed interpersonal skills to work with other departments.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing, fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of NetSuite and Salesforce is a plus.
