Responsibilities

Boise Cascade is seeking an Accounts Payable Associate at our corporate headquarters in Boise, Idaho. The primary functions of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Processing accounts payable transactions, including processing a high volume of invoices daily
  • Sorting mail
  • Scanning
  • Working with Excel reports
  • Using multiple computer applications extensively throughout the AP process
  • Identifying and initiating process improvements
  • Working successfully in a team environment and contribute to positive morale
  • Managing multiple, changing tasks and assignments by establishing priorities and determining work methods and resources
  • Effectively communicating with internal and external customers while maintaining a high degree of professionalism
  • Performing other duties and responsibilities as possibly assigned

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to use basic Microsoft Office applications such as navigating and sorting within existing documents and downloaded queries
  • Ability to work with accuracy under stress and critical time constraints
  • Knowledge of accounting processes and procedures and computer-based accounting (ERP) systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree and/or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft
  • Knowledge of general Accounts Payable processes and procedures for a high-volume/large company
  • Industry knowledge in manufacturing and/or distribution
