  • The Accounting Manager will be responsible for the following:
  • Assist in the preparation of all SEC filings including, 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, etc., including financial statements, footnotes, disclosures and supporting documents.
  • Review the impact of new or proposed accounting standards, interpretations or regulations from the FASB, AICPA, PCAOB, EITF, and SEC, and communicate impact to management
  • Assist with certain technical accounting matters, including carrying out research and documentation for a variety of transactions, adoption of new standards, as well as general corporate accounting matters.
  • Assist with preparing journal entries and account reconciliations for the monthly financial close
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, including preparation of financial inventory reports and assist with developing inventory cost standards
  • Support the development and maintenance of an effective system of internal controls and compliance with Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act
  • Assist with the quarterly financial review and year-end financial audit process
  • Financial and management reporting
  • Assist with specific projects and initiatives (e.g., system upgrades, process improvements) The ideal Accounting Manager will have the following:
  • BS in Accounting; CPA strongly preferred
  • 5+ years of prior related accounting experience
  • Previous experience in public accounting required and small- to mid-sized public biotech and/or pharmaceutical company preferred
  • Proficient computer skills; extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Relevant accounting experience: stock-based compensation, inventory, business combinations, debt and equity financings
  • Demonstrated experience with process improvements
  • Resourceful and capable of managing to target deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to build consensus and work well with a small finance team The Accounting Manager is primarily responsible for assisting with Sarbanes-Oxley Act compliance, the monthly financial close, technical accounting and the external reporting process. The ideal candidate is a team-player who has a solid accounting background and seeks an opportunity to work in a publicly-held commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company.

The Accounting Manager will be rewarded with the following:

  • Base salary of $80,000-$120,000 depending on experience
