Braxton-Grant Technologies is seeking an experienced, highly energetic Account Manager with experience selling cybersecurity, networking, and other information technology (IT) products and solutions to the U.S. Government and commercial clients.

Required Experience:

  • 3+ years of sales experience selling products to Federal and Local Government agencies and commercial clients.
  • Commissioned sales person responsible for an annual sales and margin quota.
  • Clear understanding of sales methodologies of prospecting and pipelining
  • Ability to develop and maintain excellent client relationships.
  • Ability to continually improve revenue and margin through individual account relationships.
  • Ability to manage sales territory comprised of small, medium and large accounts.
  • Develop quote activity that originates from RFQs, OEM leads, phone and e-mail prospecting and limited face-to-face meetings.
  • Manage a portfolio of individual accounts.
  • Acquire and maintain technical knowledge base on new and existing cybersecurity, networking, and other IT products.
  • Previous Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or Value-Added Reseller (VAR) community experience.
  • Ability to promote Braxton-Grants Solutions and Services.
  • Understanding of federal contracting and acquisition vehicles
  • Understanding of federal budgets cycles and buying patterns
  • The ability to work effectively with or without supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with vendors and customers in a professional and timely manner
  • Act as liaison between customers and internal departments to ensure smooth delivery of products and services
  • Coordinate meetings and product demonstrations between company personnel, vendors, and customers.
  • The ability to determine technologies that are relevant to the customer and effectively present the companys capabilities via phone or e-mail communication.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a strong commitment to quality service.
  • Other business duties as assigned

Education and Experience: Bachelors Degree in relevant discipline is preferred. 3 – 5 years of sales experience achieving or exceeding set quotas. Four (4) years of demonstrated relevant experience may be substituted for a bachelors degree.

  • Minimum of three years of Account Management in the federal and/or commercial IT market
  • Extensive relationships with relevant technology partners and customers
  • Must be able to proactively network, prospect, and sell to multiple contacts including C levels
  • Demonstrated consistent and successful achievement of quota versus plan
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite Skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with management co-workers


  • Experience selling network infrastructure-based security products such as; Firewalls, SSL/IPSec VPNs, and Security Proxies and other information security products/solutions
  • Experience selling to the following market areas:
    • Federal Government: Department of Defense, Civil Agencies, Intelligence Community
    • State and Local Government agencies
    • Commercial entities: Healthcare, Financial, Retail, Insurance
  • Completed certifications in OEM training programs
  • Active U.S. Government Secret or higher-level Security Clearance preferred
