The Art Director leads visual design, direction, and execution for creative and strategic projects. The Art Director is a master of both conceptual and production aspects of visual design with an eye for pixel-accurate detail and a mind for dreaming up impactful visual communications that bring brands to life and speak to their audiences. The Art Director is responsible for design direction and production of creative deliverables. The Art Director will ensure that all design elements align with the overall creative vision and meet the client needs.

WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO:

Set the direction for the design of creative assets across a range of media (web, print, video)

Introduce and apply expert art direction to the visual elements of creative projects

Ensure a high standard of visual execution across all media and campaigns

Develop the overall look/style of a creative approach and how the design connects across touchpoints

Uncover new ways to incorporate emerging technologies and new media formats into campaigns

Craft and deliver presentations of design work and rationale for internal and client meetings

Collaborate with Studio members in experience strategy & technology to inform and refine design ideas with an eye towards the best possible end product

Work across disciplines with developers and UX designers to ensure aesthetics are aligned with usability and web standards and ensure the integrity of the creative vision

Direct in-house and freelance designers on projects

Review and approve designs, artwork, photography, graphics, etc. developed by designers

Ensure deadlines are met

Provide scope estimates of level of effort to complete design tasks to inform project pricing

Participate in new business pitches with concepts and visual designs, as well as helping design high profile presentations

Help attract new talent as an ambassador of Point B to the creative community

Consistently demonstrates and lives Point B cultural tenets and values

Participates in firm culture activities to connect regularly with other Point B’ers (e.g., Studio team meetings, Practice Meetings, etc.)

WHAT WE EXPECT YOU’VE ALREADY DONE:

B.A. or B.S. required

7+ years total industry experience

3+ years working in a position of design leadership in a digital-focused creative setting (agency, in-house creative, production studio)

Experience with employee supervision

Excellent collaborative & communication skills

In depth knowledge of Adobe CC and Microsoft Office tools; skills in video a plus

Ability to travel occasionally

Ability to work non-standard work hours as necessary
