Account Executive – Chicago

We are seeking an experienced sales person who is highly motivated both individually, and has proven experience developing sales within the media or ad tech industries. Our business is fast growing – we are looking for someone who is nimble, comfortable learning new things, and has a desire to partner with our product, marketing and technology teams to drive revenue and sales to the next level.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all steps of the sales process, from lead generation to nurturing to closing
  • Create, prioritize and maintain an active pipeline of prospects – including advertisers and agencies
  • Sell consultatively, at high levels, assessing the needs of the clients and tapping into a cross-channel, cross-delivery product suite
  • Build relationships at all levels, including brand managers, account executives, media buyers and influencers
  • Comfortably sell direct and programmatic media programs (or combinations, if needed)
  • Ensure that all sales efforts, communications and contacts are tracked and reported in SalesForce and/or other sales tools/platforms
  • Ensure that responses to RFPs, and proposals are well defined and evolve processes are necessary

Qualifications:

  • BA / BS degree
  • 5+ years of sales experience within digital advertising
  • Track record of success in working with teams that sell complex cross-screen offerings across an organization
  • Strong agency & brand contacts
  • Exceptional verbal and written presentation skills; ability to “hold” a room and articulate a unique value proposition that responds to client needs
  • Skilled at prioritizing and managing time effectively with a strong work ethic
  • Experience with Salesforce, Inventory Systems, Excel, Power Point and other programs required for day-to-day job responsibilities
