We are looking for a talented Accountant to join our team specializing in Finance for our Corporate Segment in Nashville, TN

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Knowledge of MS Office tools
  • Our new Teammate will learn Machine Performance features (Cruise Control, Power-take Off, Road Speed Control, and others) and adapt or create Matlab model content to support new Customer needs.
  • Complementing tasks include translating and decomposing Voice-of-Customer into actionable requirements and designing tests to confirm we have addressed the Customer’s requests or concerns.
  • Support global markets, engine platforms, fuel types, and emission levels.
  • Develop features to apply towards PPT, VPI, and CPS projects.
  • Embedded Controls experience and demonstrate excellent Customer support, Cummins Core Values, and Team building skills
  • Classical or practical closed-loop controls experience and prior knowledge of Core2 software development and AutoSAR is a plus.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Financial Regulations Acumen – Evaluates applicable regulations for the financial area of focus, such as tax, banking, pension, local accounting to ensure underlying transactions are recorded in compliance with applicable regulations; explains key requirements and purpose of regulations and implications to the business to inform and educate relevant stakeholders.
  • Financial Internal Controls – Leverages internal control framework by assessing internal controls and developing remediation plans to mitigate financial reporting risks and respond to changing business needs.
  • Financial Analysis – Interprets financial data by analyzing trends, variances, opportunities and risks to provide insight to stakeholders regarding financial impact to drive business improvement; evaluates financial results against targets to communicate conclusions to all stakeholders; ensures integrity of financial data by investigating variances and determining corrective actions to resolve identified issues.
  • Ensures accountability – Holding self and others accountable to meet commitments.
  • Action oriented – Taking on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
