Position: Accounts Receivable Manager

Reports to: Finance Director

Location: New York, NY (currently remote due to COVID)

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The AR Manager will oversee, enhance and support financial sales operations, including:
Prepare and review accounting related functions surrounding contract compliance, invoicing, accounts receivable, and monthly account reconciliations;
Partner and collaborate with Sales, Support, Legal, and Finance during the day to day operations;
Supervise, mentor and develop AR Associate, contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture with highest integrity and sense of ownership;
Serve as a functional expert in understanding the end-to-end order to cash system integrations, internal data flows and processes;
Oversee Avalara in sales tax compliance, reporting and management of customer sales tax exemptions;
Interface with external third-party providers to record, reconcile and collect revenue;
Design and implement best practices in month end revenue close procedures and documentation;
Establish revenue recognition policies and processes for newly launched products;
Continuously enhance and refine processes and procedures that can scale effectively as we grow, serve as an implementation functional owner in ad hoc revenue accounting projects;
Contribute to executive reporting and financial reporting in cross functional collaboration;
Collaborate with leadership and external auditors on technical revenue and audit preparation matters to achieve maximum consistency in best practice, and policy application;
Perform ad-hoc/special projects and analysis as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors or above Degree in Accounting, Operations or Finance;
5+ years of progressive work experience in revenue and general accounting, excellent knowledge of revenue accounting pronouncements including ASC 606;
Oracle Netsuite and Salesforce experience highly desired;
Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities and execute in a fast paced environment with attention to details;
Team player and effective communicator with all levels of management.
