Represent the College of Dentistry to potential students through on-campus and off-campus recruitment events (fairs, open houses, receptions, information sessions). Establish relationships with students to promote School’s Graduate Program. Encourage applications from qualified students to achieve University and School diversity and geographic enrollment targets. Approve or deny applications based on University and School guidelines and recommend borderline applicants for Admission Committee’s consideration. Evaluate students’ admission packets (academic and extracurricular records, essay, letters of recommendation, standardized test scores, etc.), interview applicants, and obtain additional information from students as needed to determine if applicant is right for College. Advise students on application process (e.g., School programs, academic requirements, financial aid options, housing, and other student services).
Bachelor’s degree and
1 to 2 years admissions or related student services experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Ability to promote College and to work independently as well as part of a team. Outstanding interpersonal, public speaking, and writing skills. Ability to handle sensitive situations and/or people. Valid drivers license. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel extensively.
