Summary of Position Requirements

Responsible for review and preparation of entries needed to report revenues and costs, generating reports and managing accounting functions as needed to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting



  • Lead, coach, mentor and manage individuals and team to ensure top performance of all team members in achieving desired results while finding efficient and effective solutions that create overall organizational value.
  • Complete monthly closing responsibilities for both Division and JV financials
  • Supervise A/P Department
  • Assist in financial reporting
  • Review job cost accounts
  • Track land purchases and take downs for Division and Region
  • Prepare wire transfers and record entries for land purchases
  • Prepare bank account and general ledger reconciliations
  • Resolves business partner issues
  • Prepare and analyze land development assets and budgets
  • Special Projects as assigned by Corporate, Division President, Controller or Assistant Controller
  • Manager CPP database for cash planning
  • Process and track wires and bonds in completion with Corporate Training
  • Prepare wire sheet for Land Acquisitions/Takedowns
  • Maintain and process all HOA and CDD deficit funding requirements and budgets
  • Handle tax payments and accruals


Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required or combination of equivalent education and experience
  • CPA, or MBA in Accounting preferred
  • Minimum of two years general accounting experience required
  • Minimum of two years supervisory and industry experience required
  • Strong computer skills – Microsoft Word and Excel
  • JD Edwards experience preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail


Regular Full-Time
