Chamberlain College of Nursing’s Phoenix Campus is seeking an Administrative Coordinator to support various departments, including the campus Testing Center. In this role, the individual will take responsibility for a variety of general office activities with a basic understanding of departmental procedures. The Administrative Coordinator will provide traditional administrative support in the areas of typing, maintaining calendars, etc., as well as supporting potential students with pre-admission exams, any proficiency exams and reporting, and working closely with faculty to meet the needs of proctoring exams.

It takes a strong set of organizational and communication skills to be effective in this highly visible role. We want to meet with people who have a passion for education, exceptional computer skills, and a solid commitment to consistently providing exceptional service.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Provide administrative support in area of typing correspondence, memos and reports.
  • Review clerical and personnel records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
  • Prepare activities reports for guidance of management.
  • Researche and develops resources that create timely and efficient workflow.
  • Answer inquires, uses discretion handling difficult calls and routes calls to appropriate individual.
  • Maintain calendar(s) for the supervisor and/or department
  • Maintain contact with customers and outside vendors
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience in clerical support.
  • PC skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and internet applications.
  • Strong organizational, customer service and data entry skills.
  • Typing skills of at least 40 wpm.
