Nalco Water, an Ecolab Company, seeks an Account Manager to join its industry leading sales team. You’ll be responsible for revenue and profit growth of Nalco programs and services in targeted accounts within the Downstream Refining & Petrochemical Market. Target market base includes refining, heavy petrochemical, and pipeline industrial applications. Primary products/services include water treatment chemicals and automation equipment for cooling towers, boilers and raw/WWT and process additives for desalting, corrosion and fouling control. Using a consultative sales approach, you’ll build relationships with existing customers by executing system assurance programs that meet their key business needs. With strong account leadership, you’ll also convert strategic competitive accounts and sell new technologies to current customers.

What You Will Do:

  • Work closely with current and new customers to understand business needs and recommend continuous improvement and innovation plans that will maintain and grow sales within assigned territory.
  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders in current and new customers, including plant or facility executives.
  • Generate and execute sales plans in assigned customer base and new customer accounts to meet defined territory profit increase goals.
  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders in current and new customers, including plant or facility executives.
  • Provide technical support to customers; identifying and resolving customer complaints, escalating as required.
  • Engage in problem solving by performing system analysis, interpreting data and providing written recommendations to ensure customer operations are performing at optimal levels.
  • Actively sell and support Nalco Water innovations and technology in assigned customers to promote long-term business relationships with Nalco Water.
  • Possible travel within assigned sales territory

Position Details:

This position is based in the ArkLaTx region with preferred location in Shreveport, LA

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5 years of water OR process treatment experience
  • 25% overnight travel required to support sales territory
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
  • No immigration sponsorship offered for this role

Physical Demands:

  • Must have the ability to Lift/Push/Pull/Carry up to 55 pounds chest high.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial), or Life Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, etc.)
  • 7+ years of successful technical sales experience working closely with customers to drive problem solving
  • Experience in oil and gas industry preferred
  • Previous Refinery/Petrochemical experience
  • Working knowledge of boilers, cooling towers, and wastewater treatment systems
  • Working knowledge of refinery process units, specifically crude desalting preferred
